![]() My main take-away from it was that it seemed like Rainbow Rowell had a really fun time writing it, and that helped me to have a fun time reading it. ![]() I first read Carry On quite a while before any kind of sequel had been announced. On the whole, my thoughts on this series could be summed up like this: each of these books make for a fun and endearing read, but the series as a whole has some serious technical flaws which make for a dramatically uneven reading experience. I think that all of the hype surrounding this series and the passion that these books have inspired just really intrigued me and made me want to dissect these books, to figure out how I feel about them and why. That isn’t because the books are bad – on the contrary, I generally really enjoyed them – but they definitely aren’t among my all-time favorites. I kind of cannot fathom how much time I have spent with this series, reading and re-reading this story. ![]() Wayward Son: 3.5/5 stars (full review here) ![]()
